Headquarters - Co Ong - Dam TreTourists can take this route by either walking through the forest or cruising by pleasure boat provided by the Park Walking through the forest; from the Con Dao N. P. Head Quarter to Con Dao townlet, tourists will go by car or motobike toward Co Ong airfield, then walking through the tropical rain forest in nearly 2 hours. On the way, tourists will have to walk up Horse Saddle mount (Nui Yen Ngua), they can find different wildlife such as squirrels, monkeys, varans, mountain crabs? |
Con Dao N. P. Headquarters - Co Ong - Dam Trau beachThis pristine beach is situated northwest of Con Son, near Co Ong area. This is also assumed the most beautiful beach for its amber color, smooth sand, calm, clear, blue sea. Tourists coming here can have picnics, swimming or swinging hammocks for relax under the casuarina trees, watching the gray or black squirrels, which are endemic and rare squirrels of the Con Dao N. P., moving very quickly from branch to branch |
CON DAO N. P. Headquarters - SO RAY PLANTATION - ONG DUNG BEACH.Starting from Con Dao N. P. Head Quarter to head for So Ray, tourists can follow the trail through the forest to reach Ong Dung beach. There is another trail accessible to this beach. Spending almost an hour, along the trail from So Ray to Ong Dung, tourists will find very interesting to view the over-hundred-year-old trees, the forestry vines as big as human arms twisting into strange-looking shapes. After sightseeing, taking some rest and relax at Ong Dung, it takes only about 25 minutes to walk through the forest, crossing the historical site of Ma Thien Lanh bridge, tourists will be back to the townlet. Con Dao N. P. Headquarters - Ma Thien Lanh bridge - Mother Maria's cave - Ong Dung beachOng Dung is a small bay encroaching deep inland, about 3 km westward off the townlet center. On their way, tourists will stop for sightseeing at the historical site of Ma Thien Lanh bridge, then walking up a mount slope around 15 minutes, through the forest to reach Mother Maria's cave, this is a small cave discovered by the French, they chose this site to place Mother Maria's statue for their worship and praying during their occupancy here. |
Con Dao N. P. Headquarters - So Ray PlantationWalking up the mount slope around 45 minutes, tourists will reach So Ray plantation. This is an orchard previously planted in the early 20th century, now is being transformed to provide food for wildlife, concurrently, tourists will find that it is so wonderful to have a panoramic view of the Con Dao townlet from this elevation and some forest animals searching for food. |
